We are so pleased to announce that this virtual event raised almost $45,000!! This is a $14,000 increase over our in-person event in 2019!
Not only did we see so many companies and individuals step up during the pandemic with sponsorships, donations and pledges to this event, but we were fortunate enough to have our community dress up as what a superhero means to them and walk in support of Lansdowne.
We are forever grateful to each and every individual involved in this success, whether it was out walking, sharing our posts, volunteering, donating or pledging someone who was reaching their own goal.
This event would not have been a success without all of you that were involved! A special thank you to our sponsors listed above, who truly stepped up (during a pandemic, mind you!) and supported our children and youth when they needed it the most.
Along with our Costume Contest on October 30th 2020, we have now added a COSTUME PARADE - A SOCIAL DISTANCING WALK for this event! Please check out our Event Details page to join us and learn more!
If you are looking to register, please click on the "Register Here!" button above. You can also collect pledges online! More information can be found on our Event Details page.
Our Foundation is made up of a staff of two who work to raise funds for the unfunded programs and services at Lansdowne Children's Centre. We appreciate the support of our community and volunteers.
The Lansdowne Children’s Centre is a treatment centre for children and youth with physical, developmental and communication needs. We provide specialized care and services to more than 2,600 children and families annually.
Our Recreation programs help our children:
Make new friends, develop independence/confidence, learn new skills, get active, strengthen skills necessary for participation and increase community involvement.
